How it works

A vlog studio that spans 30,000 years.

Hold up your phone like a selfie. Our on-device AI replaces your room with a full 360° historical scene. Tilt, look around, hit record.

18+ historical eras

From cave walls in 30,000 BC to Mars colonies in 2150 — handcrafted and AI-generated 360° backdrops.

AI green-screen

MediaPipe segmentation isolates you from any background. No physical green wall, no studio lights.

Privacy by default

Your camera never leaves your device unless you choose to share. Recordings stay local until you say otherwise.

Share to TikTok & Reels

One tap to save a 9:16 MP4 ready to post — or use the native share sheet to send straight to your editor app.

No sign-up to try

Open the site, tap record. Make an account later only if you want cloud storage and unlocked premium scenes.

Built for any phone

Runs on iOS Safari and Chrome Android. Tilt to look around with the gyroscope, drag with your finger on desktop.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?
No — not unless you explicitly tap "Save to Cloud". The camera stream stays in your browser, segmentation runs on your device via MediaPipe, and recordings are written straight to your device's storage. Sharing uses your phone's native share sheet, which never sends to our servers.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes — iOS Safari is fully supported. You'll see a one-time prompt to grant camera access and (on iOS 13+) motion-sensor access so you can tilt your phone to look around the scene. Recordings save as .mp4 ready to drop into TikTok or Reels.
How accurate are the historical scenes?
Hand-picked panoramas use real CC0 photography of intact sites; ancient eras with no surviving photo (Rome 80 AD, the Stone Age) are AI-rendered from carefully researched prompts. Our goal is "evocative and plausible," not a museum diorama.
Can I make custom eras?
Yes — Time Lord users can describe any place and year ("a tea house in Kyoto, 1825"), and we'll generate a 360° scene for you in about 90 seconds. The result is added to your private scene library.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Open the app, allow camera, and start recording immediately. An account only becomes useful when you want cloud storage, unlocked premium scenes, or to manage a subscription.
What does the watermark look like?
On the Free plan we add a small "timevlogger.com" mark in the bottom-right corner of recordings. It's removed on every paid plan.
Will it eat my phone battery?
Selfie segmentation is GPU-accelerated, but it does run continuously while you're vlogging. Expect about 8−12% battery for a 5-minute session on a recent phone. The app pauses processing when the tab is backgrounded.
Is there an app for App Store / Play Store?
The web app installs as a PWA — tap "Add to Home Screen" and it runs like a native app, full-screen, offline-aware. Native iOS and Android wrappers ship later in 2026.

Your past selves are waiting.

Open the app, give camera access, and you're in Rome in under 10 seconds.
